In General, Somali Bantu Community Development Center of hartford Connecticut may engage in lawful act or activity for which coporations may be formed under section 33-1000 to 33-1290, inclusive of the C.G.S. This corporation's mission is to support Bantu cultural programs, educating about Bantu life in the United States and aiding Bantu Community in Connecticut. The SBCDC advances its mission through economic, educational, and social empowerment programs providing ESOL classes, job training, and resources nessessary to help the Bantu Community over come poverty. The nature of activities conducted and the purpose promoted or carried out by SBCDC are exclusively charitable and educational, entitling SBCDC to exception under the provisions of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, or such corresponding section or sections as may from time to time be inforce.
